Through evidenced-based techniques for self-discovery I will help you dive into the deep end and come back up with a level of self-knowing that will help you step into a new season of life with clarity and confidence.

My professional practice skills are well complimented by the extensive personal work I have done in therapy myself. I know what it is like being a therapist in therapy. It is vulnerable and intimidating no matter the reason for seeking therapy. I get it. What I have to offer is a wealth of diverse experience both professionally and personally that allows me to meet other therapists where they are at in their career and in their life in a trusted space that gives voice to truth.

As an existentialist oriented therapist, I can help you connect the pain and suffering you are experiencing to one of the four inner given conflicts: Death, Isolation, Personal Freedom and Meaninglessness. When you are able to dig deep and get honest about what lies in the foundation of your pain and suffering and recognize that you are not alone, that the conflict is part of all human beings, the shame locked inside can dissapate and free you to become your most authentic self.

Anxiety is a natural part of being a human, however, it can grow in strength and become unmanagable. There are many sources of anxiety and I believe getting to the source of the anxiety is important in treating it. I also believe that having practical tools to relieve symptoms of anxiety in the moment are crucial. I guide my clients through self-discovery and help them heal the root of their anxiety while also providing practical tools for successful self-regulation.

Poor boundaries, self-sacrifice, people-pleasing, peace-keeping, codependency, sexism, gender roles, shame, imposter syndrome and perfectionism are associated with burn-out. Recognizing the patterns that lead to burn out and compassion fatigue and adopting a Self-First system of accountability to re-create patterns of behavior that are values-aligned is the key to recovering from burnout. Become an expert of your Self and change your system to one that fuels your passion and meaning.

The majority of my career has involved providing treatment and care coordination services to our military Veterans and their families. I have worked with special populations, coordinating services for blind Veterans, Veterans with PTSD, Veterans with Spinal Cord Injury and Disorders and to Caregivers of Disabled Veterans. I hold a special love in my heart for Veterans and their family members and it is always my honor to serve our nations couragous and brave heroes.

While it can be important and helpful to know WHY you do what you do, it is not always necessary. Being aware of what you do that leads you away from your authentic identify and what you can do to move your Self closer to your most authentic identity is what allows you to make change happen. Start focusing on what you can change, take responsibility to change it and start seeing both your inner and outer worlds in a whole new light.
