About My Clients

You’re a courageous, insightful and sensitive person who feels things deeply. And you’ve been struggling for longer than you remember with…. ● Disordered eating including dieting, binging, restricting, compulsive exercise or purging (whether or not you have an “official" diagnosis) ● Eating disorders (at whatever point you are in recovery) ● Negative body image and self-hatred. You are ready to begin the journey home to your body.

My Background and Approach

Our unique approach blends traditional psychotherapy with body-centered practices, trauma understanding and attachment therapy to help you make lasting peace with your body and food. We focus exclusively on eating disorders, disordered eating and body image, offering a safe, supportive and nurturing space where you can explore the roots of your challenges and master practical tools to use in real life. You'll learn to find attunement, develop compassion for yourself, make peace with the body you have now and live the rich, authentic joy-filled life that is waiting for you. We provide body-centered trauma-informed psychotherapy for individuals looking to find lasting healing from disordered eating, eating disorders and negative body image. We are fully aligned with Health at Every Size, and believe that all bodies deserve respect, nourishment and compassion.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Reclaiming Beauty supports all people towards embodying their own definition of beauty and challenges the systems of oppression that contribute to eating disorders and body image concerns. Our core values encompass inclusivity, the healing power of embodiment, recovery as an additive process, embracing all parts of oneself, a non-pathologizing approach to human differences and the power of reclaiming beauty as unique medicine for the world. We believe: - you deserve to, and can, feel safe in your home in this world: your body. - you can develop a balanced and healthy relationship with food and your body. - your body can be your greatest resource. We are aligned with Health At Every Size, and stand against sizeism and weightism. We are active diversity allies, anti-racist, and fat/queer/trans/kink/neurodiverse/disability positive. We believe all bodies deserve healing and respect.
