About My Clients
Couples wanting a deeper connection. Individuals struggling to mentally make it through another day. Kids and teens who need extra support through a tough transition. Does this sound familiar? Talking openly in a safe place can help you find relief from life’s stressors. Your marriage can shift and grow when you and your spouse feel valued and listened to. I believe that the therapeutic relationship opens up deep resources within each of us and can provide you the space to heal and grow.
My Background and Approach
The therapeutic relationship is a special vehicle at your disposal. You can use it to walk through and process trauma or grief. You can use it to share the crazy thoughts floating around in your head that you could never tell anyone else. You can test out new communication skills or try out new patterns of thinking. You can get feedback on what is keeping you stuck in unhealthy relationships. Really, the time in a session is yours to use for your benefit. Together we will create a safe, healing space where you can explore how to connect with your best self.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have spent the past 20+ years exploring how people interact, learning what motivates them, and wondering how they could improve their relationships. I have done this personally: in my marriage of over 20 years, within my close-knit family, and with my 4 children. I have also done this while living in foreign countries and multiple US states. I have learned that people are complex and ultimately desire to be known and loved. I have also learned that so much of life can get in the way of intimacy and relationship. But with the guidance of a skilled therapist, most people can work through the messiness of life and find hope in renewed relationships.
