About My Clients
You may be struggling with depression, anxiety, loss, trauma, sexual orientation, or gender. It may seem like you don't know where else to turn. You may find yourself coping with alcohol or other substances. I have almost two decades of experiencing helping others overcome issues with addiction and identifying healthier coping mechanisms for life's challenges. If you're looking to make a change, we will work together to identify a plan that fits for you.
My Background and Approach
I have worked in addiction treatment for over 15 years so I am aware of all of the unique challenges that I also have almost a decade of experience working with individuals in an HIV/AIDS clinic that specializes in treating members of the LGBTQA+ community. As a psychologist, I can assess patterns in your life to help inform our work together for successful outcomes. My approach provides a non-judgmental, safe space for you to explore the challenges in your life while building your strengths. My training in addiction treatment will also help create a motivating, understanding environment to address roadblocks and behaviors holding you back.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone is deserving of support, no matter their stage in their addiction or identity. I am passionate about the work I provide and hope to increase the accessibility of mental health. I also believe everyone has a need to feel safe in the world which is why I also focus on helping people who survive traumatic incidents.
