About My Clients
I serve both children/teens/families and adults in my practice. I work with parents and caregivers closely. Teenagers are some of my most cherished clients! I deeply value my work with families! In my work with adults, I very much enjoy working with young adults, women experiencing perinatal and postpartum depression, anxiety or general life transitions, parenting support, work/life balance. With both children/teens and adults I also specialize in trauma recovery and healing.
My Background and Approach
I have been seeing clients since 2008 and in private practice since 2012. I have the most amazing job and truly feel grateful. With children and teens, I have a wonderfully large office space that allows lots of creativity to happen! I use play, art, sand tray and games to guide our time together. I meet with parents/caregivers generally each session as well for a check-in to ensure we are all on the same page. With my adult clients, we discuss goals for our time together and concrete ways to make things feel better. I aim for our work to always feel collaborative, supportive, and worth it!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a woman, wife, mother, daughter, sister, therapist. I believe that healing comes from connection. A deeper connection and understanding of both yourself, your beliefs and values and a deeper connection with those people you keep close to you can bring insight and hope to relationships that feel stuck. Healing also comes from having a supportive connection and relationship with your therapist. In my work with children, teens, and families, I truly value parents involvement in the treatment process. As a parent myself, I can relate to the challenges of parenthood and will celebrate the victories alongside you. You are not alone in this journey. With adults, I deeply respect the courage it takes to seek support in your life. I know it’s important to feel heard, valued, respected and gently guided. I am a Christian and can provide counseling through this lens, if you prefer. However, I absolutely welcome clients of all religious, spiritual or non-religious backgrounds.
