About My Clients
I work with couples stuck in the same argument, parents co-parenting after a separation, and individuals facing anxiety, grief, or a life change they did not choose. Many couples I see have circled the same conflict for years, unsure whether they want to repair the relationship or end it well. Both are legitimate goals. I also work with families in divorce, where the questions are as practical as emotional: how to talk to the children, and how to decide things together when trust is low.
My Background and Approach
I have practiced in Florida since 2008 and hold a Master of Science in mental health counseling. I am a Qualified Supervisor for mental health counselor interns, a Florida certified family and divorce mediator, and a qualified parent coordinator for the Ninth Judicial Circuit. That mediation and parent coordination work shapes how I approach couples and families. I have sat with people in the legal process as well as the therapy room, so I understand what actually gets decided outside this office and how much of the conflict is structural rather than personal. My style is collaborative and direct. I will ask questions, offer observations, and tell you what I am noticing rather than wait for you to arrive there alone. Sessions are structured around what you want to be different, and we revisit that regularly so the work stays yours. I founded Orlando Thrive Therapy and supervise clinicians across our four Central Florida offices.
