About My Clients
I seem to be an especially good fit for people who identify as sensitive/emotional, self-critical, creative, rebellious, different, or insightful. My areas of experience and focus are: depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief/loss, non-traditional relationships, sexuality, identity and self-esteem.
My Background and Approach
In each session, I provide a respectful, supportive, and collaborative space for slowing down and exploring all parts of the inner world, allowing opportunities to practice new ways of being in relationship, and fostering self-compassion. My style is interactive, strength-based, and heart-centered. I’m here to work together with you to reach your goals. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#110567) working in a private practice setting in San Francisco, CA. My education includes a B.A. in Psychology from San Francisco State University and a M.A. in Integral Counseling Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). I've also completed Level 1 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am particularly committed to supporting folks in the LGBTQIA community, as well as anyone who identifies as an outsider or rebel. I describe myself as quirky, creative, feminist, introverted, and intuitive. My struggles in life have included anxiety, depression, grief, insecurity, trauma, and shame. I am hopeful and realistic, and I believe in this work because I have seen how far I have personally come in my own therapy.
