About My Clients
I see adults of all ages (18+). I have specialized training in trauma treatment techniques (EMDR, Flash Technique), and have extensive experience helping clients manage anxiety, social anxiety, depression, anger issues, and other challenges. I also have extensive leadership experience and can provide support and coaching for individuals navigating work-related stress and conflict.
My Background and Approach
I completed my Master of Social Work at University of St. Thomas/St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and hold national certifications in Employee Assistance (CEAP) and Care Management (CCM). I also earned a Master of Science in Organization & Management from Capella University, and have more than eighteen years of management and leadership experience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to seek happiness and contentment, and that everyone should be able to feel comfortable and confident in their own skin. Sometimes this means working things through in situations, sometimes it means drawing boundaries, and sometimes both! More than anything, it's important that every person be able to give themself the gift of self-respect and self-care that each of us deserves. I work to be affirming of all individuals and families. I love all animals. My rescue dog accompanies me to the office and spends her days snuggling on the sofa next to the clients who find that comforting, and hanging out in a separate area if a client is concerned about being near a dog for any reason.
