About My Clients
Do you feel depressed, overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of which direction to take your relationships, your job, or your life? Are these feelings holding you back from living the life you truly want? I love joining with my clients to explore these barriers and working to overcome them to create peace, health and happiness. Through skill building and meaningful conversation, you can move forward. In my practice, counseling can include humor; both laughter and tears are important parts of healing.
My Background and Approach
In addition to traditional talk therapy, I utilize Brainspotting and EMDR to address a variety of issues including anxiety, PTSD, C-PTSD, performance issues, phobias etc. These methods are a gentle, yet effective and efficient way to promote healing in a safe, judgmental environment. I am EMDR certified, as well as trained in Brainspotting.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we can benefit tremendously from being encouraged to express ourselves. I offer an empathetic, non-judgmental environment where you can safely explore your feelings while we work collaboratively to help you achieve your goals in therapy. Deciding to seek counseling can be difficult, and even scary. The counselor / client relationship is so important and in my experience, an atmosphere of genuine openness and mutual respect makes for great success.
