About My Clients
This isn't your first rodeo. You have tried other strategies for parenting that have not worked. You may have tried other therapies that have fallen short of your goals. You have not found the answers you have been looking for,. You are feeling exhausted and hopeless when it comes to figuring out what is going on with your child. It could be reactive attachment disorder. This is a deep primal wounding of the trust that was supposed to develop naturally in the first five years of life.
My Background and Approach
I have three years post graduate special training in working with Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD). I not only successfully treat RAD, but I am the parent of a child with RAD and Autism. I understand the relentless challenges parents face on a daily basis. I train parents to become therapeutic parents who can reach the heart of their wounded child. I have the skills to help you develop the deep connection your so hoped for when you adopted your special child. I use a combination of strategies grounded in empathy and non violent communication that are trauma informed. I understand the fears and concerns we face as parents in todays world. There is hope for a brighter future for you child as well as hope for a peaceful family life. I look forward to working with your unique situation and helping you leave the chaos behind.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am passionate about helping clients develop empathy based non-violent communication strategies that radically improve their relationships with others including their children with special needs. There is nothing more exhausting than miscommunicating with those we love. In this world that is ripe with conflict and division, I hope to help clients bring more understanding and compassion into their own families. I know that as we heal families, we heal our communities as well as our nation and the world beyond.
