About My Clients
Have you been struggling to move forward after trauma, but still feel stuck? Maybe you're struggling with fear, sadness, disconnection, or feeling constantly on edge - and it's affecting your sleep, relationships, or ability to fully enjoy your life. If you've found yourself wondering whether you'll always feel this way, you're not alone. Healing is possible. Together, we can make sense of what you've been through, understand how it continues to affect you, and help you move beyond survival.
My Background and Approach
I believe healing begins with feeling understood, accepted, and supported. For nearly 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside survivors of trauma and their loved ones as they make sense of what has happened, reconnect with themselves, and find their way forward. As a former Clinical Director at a rape crisis center, this work is deeply meaningful to me. I’m passionate about helping people find their voice, reconnect with themselves, and regain a sense of choice and control. My style is warm, compassionate, direct, and grounded. I draw from evidence-based approaches including EMDR and CPT, tailoring treatment to your needs and goals. We’ll work together to build confidence navigating difficult emotions and explore trauma-focused work if and when you feel ready. To me, good therapy is challenging without being overwhelming - and helps you feel more connected to yourself and confident moving forward.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe sexual violence is a community problem that requires a community response, and I deeply believe in survivors and their capacity to heal. I see the client as the driver of therapy and myself as the GPS: I can offer a map of possible paths, but you get to decide where you’re going and what feels right for you. I believe therapy—and the world—should be inclusive spaces where people of all genders, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, and faiths feel welcome to be fully themselves without judgment. I’m not here to tell you how to live your life, but I will be honest and compassionate when something is causing harm to you or others, and I believe therapy can be a space to explore new ways of being. Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with loved ones and moving my body, ideally outside.
