About My Clients
My ideal clients are teens and adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally exhausted, or stuck in survival mode. They may be overthinking, shutting down, reacting more intensely than they'd like, or carrying the weight of past experiences into the present. They are ready to better understand themselves, heal from trauma or anxiety, and create lasting change in a safe, supportive environment.
My Background and Approach
With 15 years of experience in education and several years as a licensed professional counselor, I understand how trauma, stress, and life experiences can affect emotional well-being, relationships, and daily life. I specialize in EMDR therapy for trauma and anxiety, integrating evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to meet each client's unique needs. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to your goals. We move at a pace that feels safe while building practical skills, processing difficult experiences, and fostering lasting healing. I also believe healing can include laughter. When appropriate, humor eases tension, strengthens our therapeutic connection, and reminds us that hope and joy can exist alongside hard work. My goal is to help you develop empowered roots—grounded in your values, strengthened by resilience, and anchored in who you were created to be—so you can move forward with confidence, purpose, and hope.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person has inherent worth, resilience, and the capacity for growth, regardless of what they have experienced. Healing begins in a space where you feel seen, heard, and accepted without judgment. My goal is to help you discover your strengths, live in alignment with your values, and build a life rooted in purpose and hope. As a Christian counselor, my faith shapes the compassion, grace, and respect I bring to every session. I gladly incorporate faith into therapy for clients who desire it, while honoring the beliefs, values, and goals of every individual I serve. I believe meaningful change happens through a strong therapeutic relationship, evidence-based care, and the courage to take one step at a time toward healing.
