Hi! I'm a therapist licensed in MD and DC who treats all types of eating disorders, anxiety, depression and life transitions.
Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Bethesda, MD
Anxiety issues present in various forms such as constant worrying, feeling nervous in certain situations such as at school, work or social settings, and panic attacks. I've received specialized training in emotion-focused therapy and help my clients gain awareness of their emotions and how to manage and tolerate them.
I treat all forms of eating disorders. Many clients seek therapy for help with eating issues, disordered eating, and body image issues that may or may not constitute an eating disorder but are nonetheless creating distress and problems in their lives. All of these varying issues deserve therapy to explore how they are interfering with the life desired and how to address them in a way that brings relief, calm, and confidence.
The women's issues that I often help with are related to relationships, eating patterns, body image issues, and life transitions such as college and young adulthood, divorce/separation, parenting, caring for aging parents, and living a meaningful and fulfilling life. For tweens and teens, the issues often center around peer and family relationships, fitting in and adjusting to changes during adolescence that impact self-esteem, body image and eating patterns.
