About My Clients

Do you feel like you're holding it together on the outside—but inside, you're exhausted, anxious, or barely coping? Maybe sleep is a struggle, or chronic stress or illness has left you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected from the life you want to live. You don’t have to push through this by yourself. I help adults find steadiness, clarity, and healing—using approaches that are practical, respectful, and grounded in mind–body care.

My Background and Approach

I’ve worked as a psychologist for 30 years and specialize in helping adults facing insomnia, anxiety, and chronic health challenges. For 17 years at the University of Vermont Medical Center, I provided group and individual therapy for people living with insomnia and chronic pain. I’m certified in clinical hypnosis and was the first clinician in Vermont to earn Diplomate status in Behavioral Sleep Medicine. I’ve provided telehealth for over 15 years and, as a PSYPACT provider, offer virtual therapy to clients in 40+ states. My approach blends CBT, ACT, and hypnosis with compassion, curiosity, and cultural humility. Clients often describe me as calm, thoughtful, and grounded. Whether you're feeling exhausted, wired, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself, we’ll move at your pace to find steadier ground. You’ll learn strategies to shift unhelpful patterns while also exploring deeper emotional healing. Through hypnosis, mindfulness, and reflection, I’ll support meaningful change.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe each person holds the capacity to grow, adapt, and move toward greater wholeness—and that this happens when we feel seen, respected, and safe to explore what matters most. I care deeply about providing culturally responsive, trauma-informed care, and strive to meet each person with compassion and curiosity rather than assumptions. I support health equity, civil rights for all people, and efforts to reduce stigma around mental health and chronic illness. I believe in the power of groups to foster connection, shared insight, and transformation. While I take my work seriously, I value laughter, creativity, time outside, and a good cup of coffee. I aim to walk alongside clients in a way that supports strength, insight, and discovery.
