About My Clients
Right now it feels like the world is on fire. Why bother with therapy? Because joy and healing are revolutionary act. I offer a fresh, holistic approach to those struggling with parenting stress, adolescence, depression, anxiety, life transitions, chronic illness/disability, and neurodivergence. Incorporating creative arts therapy and drama therapy we go beyond talk, to create a space of new possibilities and healing. We welcome adults, parents, families and youth 10+.
My Background and Approach
My approach is collaborative and creative. We step outside traditional talk therapy by incorporating drama therapy and other creative arts to create a laboratory of possibility to practice skills, gain insight, discover new abilities, and reawaken joy. Counseling is about making the space to really understand and listen to what your mind and body need. My hope for every client is for them to find and reclaim their power and their joy. I look forward to being a part of that process for you, your family, or your child. I am a licensed Independent Marriage and Family Therapist in both the states of Ohio and California. I am also a Registered Drama Therapist (RDT) and a member of the North American Drama Therapy Association (NADTA). This means I am specially trained and certified in action-oriented techniques that can get you out of your head and moving forward faster. Credentialed to supervise MFTs in Ohio and BCT for budding drama therapists.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy begins with dignity. My work as a practitioner is to be culturally competent but also culturally humble, neurodivergent-affirming, and queer-affirming. I believe mental health and physical health are not separate from the systems we live within. Your identity, community, and lived experience matter here. I also strive to honor spirituality as part of healing. Whether you are non-religious, spiritual, deeply religious, or deconstructing a former faith, your beliefs are welcomed, respected and can be integrated into our work.
