About My Clients
I work with individual adults and adolescents, including young adults navigating college and careers, new parents finding purpose and meaning, and older adults who may be struggling with retirement, health issues, or isolation. Whether you are transitioning into a new phase of life, processing trauma or grief, seeking coping skills for anxiety or depression, or simply trying to make it through the day, this is the place for you.
My Background and Approach
Therapy inspires hope and change, and I view our time together as a collaborative process where we are able to identify patterns, build upon strengths, and develop tools to promote growth and healing. In an effort to develop a personalized treatment plan for each client, I draw from various modalities and techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness. This integrative approach allows the therapeutic process to be more flexible and inclusive to each client's needs. I understand how difficult it can be to find a therapist who is the right fit, which is why I offer a free 20-minute phone or video consultation for all of my prospective clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in a corporate setting and became increasingly aware that external markers of success may not always reflect an internal sense of joy or contentment. I wanted to connect with others on a deeper level and affirm they are being seen and heard as they cope with all facets of life. Since following my passion of becoming a therapist, I have found my experiences as a professional, a wife, and a mother to be invaluable as I sit with clients struggling in their own stage of life. By providing a safe, non-judgmental space, I encourage my clients to share their stories and process difficult emotions at their own pace.
