About My Clients

I may be a good fit for you if you feel a readiness inside to turn towards yourself, you know you need to sink your teeth into exploring beliefs and limiting ideas that are interfering with your growth and thriving in this world, and are able to explore your internal world in an open and spacious manner. I want to help you focus on what’s right - not whats wrong. Dive into your places of strength and resourcefulness and help them build and expand.

My Background and Approach

I have worked extensively with people whose history of trauma interferes in their relationships, professional success, and happiness. This includes sexual trauma, physical or verbal abuse, and bullying. I have helped many people build meaingful lives where they don't feel overrun by the impact of trauma. I have a background in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, EMDR, NonViolent Communication and Hakomi. These practices include a focus on mindful awareness, increased attention to the body, and tools for processing and moving through the impact of trauma as it lives in the body, emotions, and core beliefs about ourselves. I work well with people who identify as introverts, highly sensitive, or INFJ's. My approach is thoughtful, warm, engaged and intuitive. I am committed to helping you develop your strengths, know yourself more fully, access your emotions, and enhance areas of joy. I provide a space for individual growth to help you make lasting change in your life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My graduate training provided me an opportunity to work with a few different communities that were deeply meaningful to me. As a pre-doctoral intern at CPMC I was able to support adult men and women, with limited resources, who had a serious history of trauma and abuse. My dissertation focused on the transgender community and the important role that parents play in being allies to their trans children. Finally, my post doctoral training was at the Prevention and Recover of Early Psychosis program (PREP), which allowed me to support young adults experiencing their first onset of psychotic symptoms. This was deeply meaningful as it was a chance to help these young people manage these new experiences, and to support them in continuing to move forward and live full lives for themselves without the psychosis taking over. Each of these experiences has made a deep and lasting impact on me and my work.
