About My Clients
I feel most effective when supporting clients through many different challenges life throws at us including anxiety, depression, and trauma. I am especially interested in working with those who are doing the brave work of breaking cycles of intergenerational trauma. If its working to feel more grounded in your body, or to perhaps feel more grounded in your decisions and autonomy, I provide a safe and supportive environment to explore all parts of yourself and goals for therapy.
My Background and Approach
I believe life is all about balance. In therapy, that often means balancing change with acceptance. I try to create a safe place that empowers all clients to make needed changes, and do the brave work of accepting themselves and their lives, just as they are. I feel most effective when working with clients working through anxiety, depression, adjustments, relationships, trauma and working to break the cycles of intergenerational trauma. I hope to make ALL clients feel accepted and validated. I am committed to building my cultural awareness and sensitivity to be able to serve people from diverse walks of life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I feel incredibly lucky to work as a therapist, a career I started dreaming of when I had my first encounter with therapy. Being able to provide a space where a client can show up as themselves, without having to filter or mask , feels so important and unfortunately not always available in our society and culture. I believe in the worth and autonomy of every individual, no matter identity, experience, or beliefs. I hope to bring this value in to the therapy space and that each client feels this when interacting with me. My work is heavily influenced by my meditation practice, which I believe helps me be a better therapist. It helps me be more present and reserve any judgements my mind want to jump to. My practice helps me listen deeply and see each client's inner worth and beauty, even when they might not be able to see it in themselves.
