About My Clients
Are you spending your days feeling anxious, sad or stressed? Do you feel weighed down by trauma or relationship issues? If you’re faking a smile to get through the day, I want you to know you’re not alone and that smile can be genuine again. You deserve peace within your life & I look forward to helping you improve your day to day experience by providing you skills to obtain just that. My intent is to help clients achieve wellness to the point where they don’t feel controlled by their symptoms.
My Background and Approach
I use a person-centered and strengths-based approach, ensuring my clients have a comfortable, nonjudgmental space to explore stressors, difficulties, and wellness goals. With a trauma-informed skill set, I take careful and intentional steps to help with processing one’s most challenging moments. I am Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) certified and use a trauma lens with each of my clients. I have a strong background in attachment work and parenting skills, with certification in Circle of Security and accreditation in the Positive Parenting Program (Triple P). I have experience working in various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, residential, in-home and in schools. My population of clients span from young children (5+) to elderly adults. Additionally, I believe structured problem solving is beneficial to explore solutions to client’s challenges with tangible steps, empowering them to independently problem solve beyond the therapy session.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
All identities are welcome regardless of race, ethnicity, disability status, religion, sexual orientation and gender. It is crucial to me that my clients feel comfortable, secure and safe within our sessions. If you’d like to chat more about treatment and possibly work together, I’d love to hear from you! You can use the consultation form on this site or contact me directly at 203-447-0747 hagid.lcsw@gmail.com - I always return inquires as I believe no one should be left unanswered.
