About My Clients
Many of my clients are interested in exploring their pasts as they intertwine with what is happening in the here and now. They want to build coping skills, work through transitions, and process their stories. I love working with young adults and people in transitional seasons of their life. These seasons are often coupled with anxiety, depression, and other challenges. I work collaboratively with clients and hope to foster a space of healing and growth.
My Background and Approach
I use integrative approach to counseling drawing on several different therapeutic techniques to best serve my clients. I primarily draw on emotions focused, internal family systems, and narrative theories. This looks like paying attention to what emotions are coming up in the here and now, while also working with the parts of yourself and understanding the stories that have shaped your life. While these theories are important, the client/therapist relationship has the potential to be the biggest healing factor in therapy. I hope to create a space where clients can feel authentically themselves and confident in the work they are doing throughout the therapeutic process.
