About My Clients
I specialize in relational therapy and complex trauma in addition to eating disorders, integrating an attachment-focused, somatically-oriented, trauma-informed perspective. I am passionate about healing attachment and relational issues within couples and families as well as working with individuals seeking both relief and personal growth from their suffering.
My Background and Approach
My approach is highly collaborative with goals of improving insight and awareness of self-defeating patterns to allow for meaningful shifts in how clients relate to others, behave in the world and feel about themselves. I offer a supportive environment for change through authentic warmth and compassion. I am also gently and respectfully challenging and direct.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I truly love what I do, whether it be walking alongside an individual through their healing journey or helping couples and families to navigate their way into more satisfying connection. I feel grateful that a transpersonal approach to psychotherapy naturally unfolded over time, with compassion becoming an essential component of my practice. I am compelled by liberatory practices that engage the intersection of spiritual wisdom, consciousness exploration and social justice. In recent years, I have been exploring communal healing practices that address racial, historical and ancestral trauma. I have also been training in expanded state practices. I believe it is essential to unburden individuals and families from pathological perceptions that are better explained by systemic and historical contextualization. I find that presence and compassionate witnessing naturally allow a creative, healing intelligence to emerge in my work with clients, for which I am deeply grateful.
