My Background and Approach
Taking an individual approach to therapy, I implement a wide variety of techniques tailored to each client utilizing empirically based psychotherapies and am certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy by the Academy of Cognitive Therapy (ACT), trained in DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing). As a multiculturally competent Iranian American therapist, I also have expertise in understanding, validating, and affirming culture.
