About My Clients
I work with individuals navigating anxiety, stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, and patterns that no longer serve them. Many of my clients are seeking greater self-understanding, emotional balance, and healthier connections. Together, we explore what may be beneath the surface and create practical steps toward resilience, acceptance, and meaningful change.
My Background and Approach
I am a bilingual English/Japanese Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with experience serving hospitals, schools, and diverse communities. My approach integrates Choice Theory, Humanistic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, CBT, DBT skills, and Motivational Interviewing, tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. I believe therapy is a collaborative journey where insight becomes action. By connecting past experiences with present choices, we can uncover patterns, strengthen relationships, and build the capacity to navigate life’s challenges with greater resilience and self-compassion. My background in meditation, breathwork, and mind-body practices allows me to incorporate grounding and awareness techniques to support emotional regulation and a deeper connection with oneself.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that one of the most liberating choices we can make is learning to move through life with openness, curiosity, and compassion. Even during uncertain times, we all have the capacity to reconnect with our inner wisdom and create meaningful change. I value creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their experiences, honor their personal stories, and discover their own strengths. My work is inspired by mindfulness, meditation, breath awareness, and the belief that healing involves both understanding ourselves and taking courageous steps toward the life we want to create.
