My Background and Approach
I’m Harry Taub, a Colorado counselor specializing in addiction recovery, trauma, anxiety, depression, burnout, and professional or licensing challenges. With a background in medicine, psychiatry, and my own recovery, I bring a grounded, relational, and experiential Gestalt approach to therapy. I help adults slow down, build awareness, and reconnect with their strengths while navigating difficult transitions, stress, and mandated treatment requirements. My work blends Gestalt techniques, somatic awareness, and present-centered exploration to support insight, accountability, and long-term change. I provide confidential, non-judgmental telehealth therapy across Colorado, helping clients rebuild stability, heal underlying trauma, and create sustainable shifts in their lives. I no longer practice medicine or prescribe medication
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I no longer practice medicine or prescribe medication. My work is now entirely focused on psychotherapy and the experiential, relational approach of Gestalt therapy. My medical and psychiatric background helps me understand how the mind and body interact, but today my commitment is to counseling, recovery, and therapeutic healing. I believe people can change at any point in their lives, even when they feel overwhelmed, ashamed, or confused about how they got to their current situation. As a Colorado mental health counselor specializing in addiction recovery, trauma, anxiety, depression, burnout, mandated treatment, and licensing or professional challenges, I have witnessed people rebuild their lives in powerful, sustainable ways. My own recovery and personal history shape my belief that meaningful change is always possible and that people need steadiness, respect, and genuine support to get there.
