Teens are a particularly special group! Some of the primary issues I see with most of my young people is identity formation-- i.e. "teenage angst" or "counterwill," which can manifest in lots of different ways. As we grow, there are growing pains. I see my role as helping these young people grow gracefully, by discerning the many forces at play as they move from the dependence of childhood to the interdependence of adulthood.

It is such an honor to work with other men. To acknowledge that you want to start therapy is a powerful step in dismantling oppressive, rigid and homophobic characterizations of strength-- independence, emotional distance and disconnection.
