Hello! I'm Dr. Harriet Singelyn (she/her) and I provide online therapy to folks in Texas who are looking to build a practice of self-compassion, manage their anxiety and depression, and transform their relationships.
My Background and Approach
Does this sound familiar? You find yourself caring more about others' needs above your own; you define yourself as a "people pleaser" who struggles to set boundaries with others; you worry about how others perceive you; you are a perfectionist who holds themselves to a high standard, but when your expectations are unmet, you blame yourself; and no matter how hard you work, you feel like you're not good enough. You are not alone and I am here to help. I use a variety of styles to meet your needs and help you move forward. My style of therapy is a mix of focusing on the present moment (what you think, feel, and need during session), getting curious about the past (how your experiences impact you now), and building new skills to get you where you want to be.
