About My Clients
I work with clients with a range of challenges, such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, disability/chronic illness, identity exploration (including gender/sexuality), and self-esteem issues. This often includes family/relationship issues and life transitions (including college/early adulthood). I also work with neurodivergent individuals, especially women with ADHD. One area of focus is immigrant experience, family dynamics, and generational trauma.
My Background and Approach
As a relational psychodynamic therapist, I believe that our experiences are shaped by our relationships with ourselves, other people, and the world at large. My work is informed by feminist, queer, disability, and critical race theory. My therapy integrates relational-cultural theory as well as narrative therapy, which invites us to reimagine the stories we tell about ourselves. I also draw upon liberation health and strengths-based approaches to consider a person’s experiences holistically. I am attentive to how identity and marginalization can impact one's movement through the world, and I strive for a trauma-informed, culturally-sensitive, and socially just practice. In therapy, I meet clients with curiosity, warmth, and nuance to explore their experiences, relationships, and challenges. My goal is to co-create a welcoming space in which clients can tell their stories, know their strengths, and work towards their goals. I would be honored to walk with you on a journey to healing.
