About My Clients
Loss is a frequent visitor. You might live your life just fine but still suffer inside, feeling lonely, isolated, detached and numb. When traumatic distress overshadows everything, the memories keep showing up, with regrets, ruminations and yearning. I work with individuals and families facing grief, the anticipated loss of a loved one, depression and relationship stress, in English and Mandarin Chinese.
My Background and Approach
Mourning is the price we pay for having the courage to love, and I believe grief is a period of both crisis and opportunity. Together we revisit consoling memories and unfinished business, unpack complicated remorse and shifting identities, and reconstruct a lasting bond that can survive the absence of the past. My counseling philosophy draws from Existentialism, and I use an existential-humanistic approach with Gestalt skills. I don't teach answers; I guide you to uncover the wisdom that already resides within you, in a brave and affirming space where you can tell your own story and navigate your own path.
