About My Clients
If you would like to learn various stress management techniques for everyday life, curious about the mindfulness practice, or would like a safe space to answer the question, "what does relaxation feel like for me?”, I am here to help! If you are someone who would like to feel empowered to take control over your reaction to stress, I am glad to teach you healthier ways you can cope and reduce symptoms of anxiety or burnout. I look forward to joining you on your relaxation & self-care journey!
My Background and Approach
I draw on a broad range of therapeutic modalities, including mindfulness-based cognitive behavioral therapy (MBCT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), strength- based approaches, motivational support for health-related goals, positive psychology, and teaching everyday relaxation techniques. I have extensive experience working with adults who are experiencing situational stressors/life changes, grief, PTSD/trauma histories, anxiety/depressive disorders, and those who want to better cope with chronic illness diagnoses (cancer, diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, pain, insomnia, etc). At this time, I am only accepting clients who would like to sign up for the 8-week virtual SMART (Stress Management And Resiliency Training) program class designed by Mass General Hospital. You can find more information about this offering on my website, www.themindshrine.com.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives, including learning new ways of how to cope with whatever stress life throws at you. There are many stressors that happen in our lives that we cannot control, however, we all have the capacity to control how we react to them in a healthier and more adaptive way. When working with me, we will learn multiple and customizable ways to learn about your own unique stress response and how to reduce these symptoms when they are not helpful to you. I am LQBTQ+ friendly and an advocate of social justice. If you would like to learn more about how I can support you, please feel free to shot me a message about any of the virtual classes I am offering.
