About My Clients

My ideal clients are individuals who feel stuck in a constant battle with food, their bodies, or the pressure to look and perform a certain way. I work best with people who are ready to quiet the critical voice in their head—even if they’re not sure how—and want a more peaceful, balanced relationship with themselves. I especially love supporting women in the postpartum period, those navigating eating disorder recovery, and anyone who feels weighed down by food rules, comparison, or body shame.

My Background and Approach

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with specialized training in eating disorders, body image, and the intersection of food and mental health. Over the years, I’ve supported individuals navigating everything from anxiety and depression to disordered eating, postpartum changes, and the everyday pressures of living in a culture obsessed with appearance. My approach blends evidence-based practices like CBT and mindfulness with a relational, compassionate style. What this means for you is that therapy is not just about “coping skills” but also about getting to the root of patterns, healing old wounds, and building a more peaceful relationship with yourself. I also bring a nutrition-informed lens to therapy, helping clients understand the body-mind connection without falling into diet culture or “quick fixes.” My goal is to give you tools that feel sustainable, so you can move through life with less guilt, less body conflict, and more confidence in your own skin.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that every person deserves to feel at home in their body and to live free from shame around food, appearance, or identity. My values are rooted in compassion, authenticity, and equity. I am committed to practicing from a Health at Every Size® (HAES) and body liberation lens, which means honoring all bodies—no matter their size, shape, gender, or background. I’m passionate about supporting women and parents, especially in the vulnerable postpartum period, where body image struggles and “food noise” can feel especially loud. As both a therapist and a mom, I deeply value creating spaces where clients feel seen in the messiness of life, not just the polished parts. I am an ally to the LGBTQIA+ community and advocate for inclusive, affirming care. I also support social justice movements that challenge diet culture, weight stigma, and systemic oppression, because mental health is not separate from the cultural and social forces that shape our lives.
