About My Clients

I work with kids, teens, and adults carrying the weight of trauma from close relationships—early experiences where safety or trust was broken. Many come feeling overwhelmed by emotions they can’t name or stuck in patterns that hold them back. Parents often seek support when their child is struggling but unsure where to turn. Whether healing from childhood wounds or painful adult experiences, my focus is on creating a safe, understanding space where real progress is possible.

My Background and Approach

I am a licensed professional counselor, registered play therapist, certified EMDR therapist, and positive discipline parent educator. My background includes a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and hands-on experience in a hospital behavioral health unit. Before becoming a therapist, I worked as an advocate supporting people affected by abuse and trauma, which deepened my understanding of healing as a complex, non-linear process. I’ve since worked in private practice with kids, teens, and adults, specializing in trauma—especially the kind that happens in close relationships. This experience allows me to tailor therapy to each person’s unique needs, creating a safe space where healing can unfold at a pace that feels right. My goal is to help clients feel less burdened by their past and more equipped to move forward with hope and clarity.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe healing is a process rooted in safety, honesty, and respect. Everyone carries unique experiences and strengths, and therapy is about honoring that individuality without judgment. Growth happens best in a space where you’re seen and heard—not fixed or labeled. I’m committed to trauma-informed care because trauma shapes how we relate to ourselves and others, often in ways that aren’t obvious. Understanding this helps us build resilience and reclaim control. I also believe creativity and flexibility in therapy unlock new paths forward, rather than sticking to rigid rules or jargon. Transparency matters—I want you to know what’s happening and why so you can make empowered choices in your healing. Above all, I see therapy as a collaboration where you’re the expert on your life, and I’m here to support your growth with honesty and care.
