About My Clients
You may be used to holding everything together while feeling overwhelmed underneath. Maybe past experiences still show up in your relationships, your relationship with food or your body, or your sense of safety. I work with people navigating trauma, disordered eating, anxiety, depression, grief, and substance use, with particular interests in religious and medical trauma, body image, women's issues, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care. You don't need the perfect words or a clear starting point to begin.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI), trauma therapist, and Community Program Manager at Evolve Therapy. My approach is collaborative, trauma-focused, and attentive to how your experiences, identities, culture, and relationships shape your life. Together, we'll get curious about patterns that may have helped you survive but now leave you feeling stuck. I draw from EMDR, somatic interventions, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, and DBT-informed skills. Depending on your needs, we might explore your story, notice what happens in your body, make space for conflicting parts of yourself, or practice tools for difficult emotions. I also have training in Intuitive Eating and Spiritual Competency, allowing space to explore food, body image, spirituality, or religious harm without imposing beliefs. You can expect compassion, authenticity, and gentle challenge, with a pace we decide together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe you deserve care that respects your identity, your body, your beliefs, and your right to make choices about your own life. Advocacy, community support, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care are central to how I show up. I'm interested in understanding what matters to you, including the parts of your experience that others may have overlooked or misunderstood. I value a therapy relationship where you can be honest, ask questions, disagree with me, and show up without having everything figured out. There's room for tears, uncertainty, and laughter when it feels right. Being human can be a lot; you shouldn't have to perform having it all together here. Outside the office, I'm usually playing guitar, spending time at a coffee shop, watching reality or fantasy TV, or convincing myself there's room for just one more plant. I appreciate the everyday things that help us feel grounded and connected, and I'm curious about what those things are for you.
