About My Clients

I offer individual therapy for children, teens, and adults, as well as couples and relationship counseling. My work focuses on supporting clients with relationship issues, life transitions, grief, multicultural identity development, trauma, and spiritual/existential concerns. I have worked in school settings with children and their parents, with a variety of presenting challenges.

My Background and Approach

My approach is integrative, drawing on a variety of tools and perspectives to best meet your unique needs. I rely on the spirit of humanistic-existential traditions to honor your personal journey and inherent capacity for growth, alongside the depth of psychodynamic therapy to explore how past experiences shape present behaviors. I incorporate tools from post-modern frameworks, such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), to help us understand and navigate different parts of yourself. Additionally, I use mindfulness, expressive arts, and somatic-experiential techniques to help you connect with a deeper level of wisdom, creativity, and imagination that can often be harder to access through words alone. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute, and as a practitioner of the Plum Village tradition, I make use of the wisdom of Buddhist psychology to guide our work together.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Therapy can be a transformative step, offering a sacred space where you can explore parts of yourself that are asking to be known, connect with your deepest longings and aspirations, and cultivate greater clarity, compassion, and resilience in the face of life's challenges. As Zen Master Thích Nhất Hạnh said, “The way out is in.” By nurturing your inner well-being and connecting to your wholeness, you not only heal yourself but also contribute to a more peaceful world. Together, we can explore your authentic path to lasting change and growth from within. As a biracial, second-generation Vietnamese-American, I deeply appreciate the diverse experiences of individuals navigating their cultural and mental health paths. I’m passionate about supporting people in exploring their multicultural identity development and de-stigmatizing mental health, creating a space where individuals from all backgrounds feel comfortable addressing their challenges and seeking support.
