About My Clients
Is your 5-year-old having meltdowns when you tell them "no"? Is your 8-year-old so anxious that it’s stopping them from going places and doing things? Or maybe your 14-year-old is struggling to focus and they're having a hard time keeping up with their responsibilities. You may be concerned about how this could be affecting their self-esteem. These are just a few examples of what I help kids and their families work on in therapy.
My Background and Approach
You are not alone. I work with kids and teens ages 4-17 and I specialize in treating anxiety, ADHD, as well as the other struggles they may face: trouble with friendships, self-esteem, keeping up with responsibilities, and finding enjoyment in their day-to-day. I enjoy working with parents so that they can connect and communicate with their child and also find strategies to help support their child at home. I use CBT, CBT with ERP, PCIT, as well as play therapy with my clients. We practice identifying emotions, learning ways to communicate them in a healthy way, implement strategies to help support their mental health when they're outside of my office, and bring more peace and connection to their home. I have additional certifications in treating anxiety and ADHD.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
You want to see your child happy, confident, and thriving. When a child is having a hard time, their parents often start to feel worried themselves or overwhelmed and at a loss when they don’t have the right tools and support. The good news is that you and your child don’t have to face those challenges alone. If we work together, we can see positive results. There is hope. With the right support, there is an opportunity to bring peace and connection back into your family. I would love nothing more than to help you get there!
