About My Clients
Is motherhood different than you expected it to be? Do you miss your happy, confident self? Are you too overwhelmed, sad, and exhausted to really enjoy your new baby? Are you too ashamed to admit that? You can tell me, I understand. I can help you sort out your feelings, process your birth story, and re-connect with yourself. This is all treatable- motherhood can be better than this. I can help you find the balance, peace and connection that you are looking for.
My Background and Approach
For the past 5 years, I have been helping pregnant and postpartum women through the challenges of becoming a mother. We will work together to find practical solutions to eliminate your symptoms – worry, sadness, irritability, panic, restlessness. You will gain tools you can use on a daily basis to feel more calm and in control of your thoughts and emotions. I have completed trainings on how to support women through the perinatal time so that they can feel like themselves again and enjoy the journey of motherhood. My goal for you is to gain the tools you need to move through this phase, so that you can be the mother that you want to be. You can learn more about my practice at www.TheSupportedMama.com
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that the perinatal period doesn’t get enough respect. It is messy, exhausting and incredibly profound. It is a time of vulnerability and coming face to face with who you are. Every parent deserves the space to process their experience and the emotions that come along with it- free of judgement. I am an advocate for equal access to quality support - I will eliminate as many barriers as I can so that you can get the help you need. I respect and value that families originate in many different ways. All families are welcome, all stories are respected. We will develop a plan tailored to your unique needs, using evidence-based frameworks (like cognitive behavioral therapy) to support you in achieving your goals. You already have the capacity to heal and grow; it would be my honor to support, listen and reflect as you redefine yourself.
