About My Clients
I particularly enjoy working with adults who struggle with the impact of trauma, anxiety, relationship issues, and/or life transitions. Most of my clients are tired of being so hard on themselves and want to go beyond just coping, to find meaningful change in how they think, feel, and show up in the world.
My Background and Approach
As a trauma-informed therapist, my goal is to help you become kinder to yourself and to create a life that feels more grounded, easeful, and aligned with what matters to you most. I offer a warm, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences without judgment. A core part of my approach is helping clients understand that many of the behaviors or coping strategies that feel “unhelpful” today were once essential for survival. This shift in perspective can create a powerful foundation for self-compassion and, ultimately, change. Many of the approaches I use are experiential, meaning they incorporate the mind & body to help create lasting shifts in how you think, feel, and show up in your life. In our sessions, we’ll identify patterns that are no longer helpful and work together to build new, healthier ones that reflect your current needs and goals. You can expect a mix of insight building, practical tools, nudges toward self-compassion, and humor.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we all are doing the best we can and many difficult patterns were adaptive and helped us survive at some point. Through awareness, self-compassion, secure relationships, and new tools, we can improve our lives and relationships. As a Social Worker, social justice is important to me and I am in strong support of Black Lives Matter and racial justice, as well as LGBTQ+ allied.
