About My Clients
How you said that you are "too much" or "not enough"? Our identities, systemic oppression, and the ways we were cared for or not cared for in childhood deeply impact our view of ourselves. I work with clients - many who are neurodivergent queer people - who are looking for support with navigating family relationships, dating, gender & sexuality, and workplace burnout. Together we explore how the stories we've been told about who we are or aren't have shaped us - and how those can be unlearned.
My Background and Approach
By exploring inner narratives, I support clients with building capacity for emotional regulation and practicing radical self love. My practice is polyamorous & non-monogamy affirming. I am also trained as a birth doula. My areas of specialty include workplace burnout, religious trauma, non-monogamy, childhood trauma, neurodivergence, gender & sexuality, and examining and dismantling internalized white supremacy & capitalism. My style draws from a variety of perspectives including somatic practices, attachment styles, psychodynamic theory, and restorative justice practices. You can expect a collaborative and empathic approach as together we explore your fears, goals, coping skills, and strengths.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe our mental health is deeply connected to our relationships, our intersectional identities, and our exposure to trauma. My therapeutic practices examine the ways that capitalism and abelism impact our lives. My work with clients centers the idea of the inherent value of humans and challenges the ways that abelism and capitalism create scarcity, a false sense of urgency, and competition. My work with clients seeks to reach beyond just individual care and to support clients in building systems of community care. I believe that neurodiverse and disabled people are the leaders of disability justice movements and believe that challenging racism and abelism are inherently entwined. Centering the lived experiences and perspectives of neurodiverse people is key to dismantling the harms of white supremacy.
