In addition to treating anxiety and depression, I have a particular focus on supporting individuals processing grief, trauma, and concerns related to family of origin. I additionally provide support to individuals whose loved ones are experiencing a mental health crisis or are navigating inpatient/residential levels of care. My Background and Approach
I obtained my master's degree in Counseling Psychology at The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology. I have since worked in both outpatient and residential treatment settings with adults and adolescents (ages 13-17.) I work from a relational psychodynamic approach meaning I believe we humans are relational beings and, as such, can experience both immense harm and great healing in the context of relationship. I view the therapeutic relationship as one in which we can process the harm you have experienced and the disconnection you may feel from others while giving you a safe relational context in which to learn, grow, and change. Throughout my work, I also incorporate psychoeducation as well as cognitive and behavioral techniques to help you implement the changes you want to see in your life.
