About My Clients
My speciality areas include: OCD, anxiety, LGBTQ+ issues, gender dysphoria, depression, trauma, coping with chronic illness, medication/treatment adherence, and caregiver burden. I use therapies found effective in research, including cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral informed-therapy. My Background and Approach
I’m a compassionate and authentic therapist who provides telehealth therapy. Partnering with adolescents, young adults, and parents to set goals, improve lives, reduce symptoms, and affirm identity is the foundation of all my work. I collaborate with family members, schools, and other healthcare providers, such as psychiatrists and physicians as needed and requested to provide collaborative, well-rounded care. I received my doctoral degree in clinical psychology in the PGSP-Stanford PsyD Consortium. I completed my APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship at Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care and my APA-accredited clinical child postdoctoral fellowship at Northwell Health’s Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Zucker Hillside Hospital. During my fellowship, I trained in the Zucker Hillside’s Child Outpatient Department, in the Northwell Health Physician Partners LGBTQ Transgender Program, and in Cohen Children’s Medical Center’s Hematology, Oncology, and Stem Cell Transplant.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I follow the WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health) Standards of Care and the APA’s (American Psychological Association) Guidelines for Psychological Practice with Transgender and Gender Nonconforming People. When meeting with gender-diverse clients, I utilize my developmental lens, extensive training using evidenced-based treatments, and my experience and passion working with gender-diverse folks to work together to find pathways to live life authentically. We do this while bringing loved ones along on the journey.
