I have worked with a significant amount of clients who identify as LGBTQIA+. I have supported clients with relationship issues, gender identity issues, coming out, dating, self-esteem building, past trauma, etc. On a personal note, I spend much of my time in the LGBTQIA+ community as many of my loved ones identify as LGBTQIA+.

Women's issues have always been a passion of mine since I became a therapist in 2020. Women today face many complexities, which can really only be understood by a therapist who specializes in working with women. I have provided therapy to women to address perinatal and postpartum depression, anxiety, borderline personality, self-worth, parenting, balancing work and parenting, and much more. I utilize a framework that understands the societal and cultural pressures placed on women.

I have received certifications and training in DBT therapy. My training came from a psychiatrist who was taught by the creator of DBT, Marsha Linehan. I have used DBT concepts with nearly all clients and seen how beneficial it can be for clients to learn skills of emotional regulation, mindfulness, interpersonal relationships, and distress tolerance. I now train other therapists on how to conduct DBT therapy.

CBT therapy first appealed to me when learning about the theory in grad school. It made clear sense to me on how thinking influences feelings and behaviors. I found it to be a very logical therapy that could not only be used to address anxiety, but also an array of other issues. I have helped hundreds of clients use CBT tools in their daily life and have seen positive outcomes.

I have helped clients of all ages, genders, and abilities to better understand and manage their anxiety. I explore with clients what triggers lie underneath their anxious thoughts and excessive worry. I teach clients coping skills for being able to manage physical symptoms of anxiety like heart-racing, body shaking, physical tension, etc. My goal is for clients to be able to live a more fulfilled life where they can control their anxiety, rather than it controlling them.
