About My Clients
Most of my clients are seeking support to (re)connect to their sexual self, develop self-love and compassion, develop pleasurable relationships with food and their bodies, explore their queer identities, and/or reject and unlearn the ways in which cisheteropatriarchy and white supremacy stand in the way of their most authentic, joyful selves.
My Background and Approach
I am committed to providing trauma-informed and pleasure-centered therapy. I am a social worker by training and hope to meet you where you are within the context of your environment. As a clinician, I use a client-centered, blended approach — combining IFS/parts work, narrative therapy, existential therapy, and a bit of humor to support you in reaching your goals. My research and biggest focus in my practice is sexual healing after trauma. As a sexual violence survivor, I had an incredibly difficult time finding a clinician who would acknowledge my sexuality as a part of me. My hope is to make sex therapy and sexual healing available to folks at all stages of their healing journey. I believe the biggest therapeutic tool is our relationship — once we establish a safe and healthy relationship, we can go anywhere you want. Your goals are my goals and I'm excited to pursue them with you!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I operate from an anti-oppressive, social justice lens in my personal and professional lives. I am queer and live in a fat body and strive to embody fat liberation and queer liberation. I am committed to disrupting and dismantling all systems of oppression that stand in the way of our communities accessing pleasure, confidence and joy. I try to practice Pleasure Activism in every aspect of my life. When I'm not working, you can find me making a mess in the kitchen, jumping into cold bodies of water, hugging my favorite people and dogs — seeking and sharing pleasure and joy wherever I go.
