About My Clients

Do you sometimes feel like you’re your own worst enemy? Struggling to find compassion and patience for yourself, and maybe others too? Perhaps you’re navigating neurodivergence in an unwelcoming world, facing disconnection in your romantic (or platonic) relationships, or trying to get to know who “you” really are and find meaning in your life. With therapy, you don’t have to figure it out alone. You can be seen, heard, and understood without judgement and with authenticity.

My Background and Approach

I’m Hannah, the owner and founder of Sonder Hope Counseling LLC. I completed my Master’s in Professional Mental Health Counseling through Lewis and Clark Graduate School of Education and Counseling here in Portland, OR. I've worked with clients as they navigate neurodivergence (ADHD, Autism, and more), relationship challenges and changes, identifying values and meaning in their lives, and managing persistent depression and anxiety. I strive to provide culturally competent, individually tailored, and radically inclusive therapy to every client I encounter. I am a Professional Counselor Associate (#R11316) through the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. I abide by the same standards of practice and code of ethics as Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs) in Oregon, and I am under the supervision of an LPC until I meet the hours and time requirements to be fully-licensed. My supervisor is Raelyn Freden, M.A., CADC III, LPC, License #6754.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Your well-being and autonomy are my first and foremost priorities. I believe all individuals deserve empathy, understanding, and the opportunity to pursue growth and healing. You are the expert in your own experiences, and I will treat you as such. I use a variety of techniques and styles in my therapeutic work with clients, following an “eclectic” approach that I am continually tuning to best meet the needs of each individual or relationship I work with. Some of the foundational therapeutic frameworks I use include Feminist, Psychodynamic, Narrative, and Somatic work. I always encourage my clients to share feedback about what they feel works best for them in sessions so we can collaborate on the healing process as equals.
