About My Clients
My clients include, but are not limited to: struggling or burned-out caretakers, professionals who feel held back in their careers due to difficulty managing relationships or anxiety, adults dealing with major life changes and events such divorce, relocation, empty nesters and family drama, people who have left high-control or high-demand religions, and women who are concerned their partner might be abusive.
My Background and Approach
I am dedicated to helping people heal from difficult life events, circumstances, and/or childhoods. I am committed to helping you navigate life's toughest moments or address distressing memories that keep you held back from living fully now. My perspective has always been greatly influenced by mindfulness-based modalities. Prior to pursuing formal education in mental health and trauma at the University of Denver, I spent 8 years as a licensed massage therapist providing trauma-informed bodywork. I firmly believe and integrate the mind-body connection in my approach to therapy today. It is an honor to provide clients with a place to heal and express themselves. In a world that continues to esteem public personas, my clients appreciate the private environment where they can take their "mask" off.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
The following values greatly influence my life as well as my work with clients: grace, integrity, kindness, compassion, curiosity, vulnerability, honesty, growth, and knowledge. Research has shown that the greatest predictor of progress in therapy is the relationship itself. Isn't that amazing?! Regardless of the type of therapy, what matters most is the strength, connection, and trust between the client and therapist. This reminds me as a therapist not to get too rigid or reliant on a particular technique or style. Let's both show up to help you heal, reconnect, and move forward with joy and confidence.
