About My Clients
My clients are introspective people who have analyzed themselves yet still feel stuck. Many were parentified in childhood, sensitive to the tone of the room, and filed down their edges. I work with complex trauma, neurodivergence and masking, grief, identity, and belonging. I'm especially comfortable with people who identify as sensitive, shy, highly verbal, or accustomed to feeling a little different.
My Background and Approach
I have six years of experience as a psychotherapist, and a decade of experience in the mental health field. I've worked in high acuity inpatient units, community mental health, university counseling, and private practice. Those settings shaped how I think about trauma- as adaptations that linger long after the danger is gone. My therapy style is relational, experiential, trauma-focused, and somatically informed. We slow down and get very specific about a moment- what happened in your body, what thought appeared, what memory arrived. I have training in Internal Family Systems, attachment theory, experiential therapy, and other trauma-informed approaches. I'm also trained in OCD treatment and may use ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) when rumination, checking, intrusive thoughts, or persistent doubt are part of the picture.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer, neurodivergent, child of immigrants, I’m attuned to questions of belonging, identity, and intergenerational stories. I’m passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ communities, grief literacy, and creative, reflective forms of therapy that honor both shadow and growth. My work is rooted in curiosity, compassion, and the belief that healing involves getting to know all parts of ourselves, including the ones we tend to hide. Outside of sessions, I love spending time in nature, wandering used bookstores, practicing visible mending, experimenting in the kitchen, and joining death cafés for meaningful conversation.
