About My Clients
The heartbreak of being misunderstood, judged for being different, bullied, and drained from trying to mask your differences is truly a unique struggle to face. I don't just offer a listening ear to individuals struggling with neurodivergent burnout and relational trauma. I help you transform in into your hero's journey. I will help you finally see all of that magnificent strength inside of you, and help you rewrite your story into the person you were always meant to be.
My Background and Approach
I've attended many trainings. And honestly, I would say that my primary experience comes from my own personal journey in which I have had to navigate finally coming to understand my neurodivergent mind and nervous system. Because I have always tried to fit myself into the "ideal woman" mold that society has prescribed for so many of us, I know the grief of coming to terms with finally knowing that I will always be different. And, once I got to this point, I began to realize that my differences are strengths and assets that I need to learn how to accommodate and utilize in a different way in my life. And now, I am here to offer a helping hand and a humble knowledge base from walking this path. I work from a lived experience, relational therapy perspective in which we focus on creating a warm, trusting therapeutic relationship based on mutual boundaries, ethics, and fostering self-kindness. I also have a variety of Modalities that I often pull from, whenever necessary, such as EMDR.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that creativity is the most foundational healing energy for survivors of trauma. This is because when we think creatively together, we can find new idea connections that help you to rewrite your story anew, and begin to heal the emotional injuries caused by past trauma. I also believe in honesty, integrity, loyalty, non-harm. I believe in connecting emotionally to create a felt sense of safety and unconditional positive regard before we discuss the sensitive areas that you would like to change in your life. I also believe that informed consent is a continuous conversation, and that you are allowed to change your mind about your therapy services at any time. I will always respect your limits, and celebrate you setting healthy boundaries. I believe that therapy is not perfect on purpose, and it is actually beneficial when we can experience rupture and repair in a safe, therapeutic way in the therapeutic relationship.
