About My Clients
I am eager to serve people who have questions about their symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma, low mood, transition, racial identity, and faith. I have been working with adults, and adolescents (age 12+) with their various seasons of life (schools, jobs, relationships, familial concerns, transitions, identity formation, etc.). It has been my joy to serve Asian populations as a Korean-speaking counselor and any other populations who would like to feel sincerely welcomed and cared for.
My Background and Approach
I have effective and evidence-based tools to calm your anxiety, lower your depressive mood, and unwire past trauma. So no matter where you go, you will always have access to different tools and techniques to help you at all times. I am direct, CBT-based with trauma-informed approaches. I also use narrative therapy to help rewrite your past stories. We'll work collaboratively to address and work on your anxiety, depression, and trauma that linger inside you now. We will begin with what's going on in the moment and how to decrease those symptoms. For the past 1.5 years, my practice has been focused on helping people reduce anxiety and depression. I have attended trainings and received education to equip you with effective and efficient tools. You will increase your self-awareness of how your body communicates to you and your resilience.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe the word has the power to heal and restore wounds. I am here to help you discover the deepest part of yourself by rewriting stories with you, unlearning unhealthy patterns, and developing healthy coping skills to replace those that lead to negativity. Through my own therapy and education, I learned how to handle my own anxiety and low mood, and I markedly reduced the frequency and intensity of my overall anxiety. I am here to welcome anyone and all; I do not discriminate against you by your race, beliefs, or values. If you want to learn more about how I can help, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.
