About My Clients
I believe that it is possible, through our individual and collective healing, to change the world. In my practice I focus on supporting children, and the grownups who love them, with concerns related to life transitions, developmental disorders, fostering & adopting, anxiety, trauma, and all things parenting. I often say that my focus is actually the relationship: between a child and their grownup(s), an individual and their/our history, and between each of us and the future.
My Background and Approach
I envision a world where all children have healthy, supportive relationships with their parents, where adults have healed wounds from their childhood, and where we are living intentionally and authentically, changing inter-generational patterns that no longer serve us. While my practice is informed by a decade of experience working with a diverse group of children and families and training in science-backed methods and practices, in our work together I strive to provide a balance of concrete tools to provide relief and to empower you while holding non-judgmental space where all thoughts and feelings are welcome and witnessed. I believe that it truly takes a village to raise a child, to love a family, and to hold each individual. From my place as a helper in the collective village, I feel truly honored to be a part of the lives and journeys of everyone I hold space for. I look forward to working with you toward the healing and harmony that you envision. We’re in this together!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Over the past several years I've been working with elders and mentors in the field to decolonize my therapy practice. As much as is possible in the current system, I am working to unhook myself from whiteness, white supremacy, capitalism, and patriarchy. To that end, I value many ways of healing and of being in community and I see holding space for folks as a sacred honor.
