Depression can be a dark cloud that makes you feel like you have low energy or low motivation. Through our sessions, I like to process the past and present events that will help you grow and move forward. I create a safe space where you can feel comfortable expressing your thoughts and feelings.
Anxiety presents itself in many different forms from bodily sensations to racing thoughts. It also may show up at work, school, home, etc. I have assisted clients in identifying where they feel stress in their bodies and teaching them to start noticing when their anxiety does arise. I also teach breathing techniques, mindfulness techniques, and thought stopping.
Adolescence can be a stressful time with pressures from family, friends, school, sports, etc. I like to help them navigate this time by developing skills and helping them identify their own strengths.
