What if you had a safe space to honor the parts of yourself just trying to survive each day, with compassion and without judgment? As a queer & neurodivergent therapist, I hold lived experience and offer intentional, trauma-informed, clinically-sound, affirming care. I specialize in PTSD/Trauma- such as familial/intergenerational, attachment-based, prejudice-based, relationship, body/disability, & survivorship, Autism/ADHD/Neurodivergence, Identity, Body Image, & Relationships (monog/poly/enm).
My Background and Approach
I bring four years of experience providing therapy for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, many of whom also live with mental health diagnoses including PTSD/CPTSD, OCD, Psychosis, Bipolar I and II, BPD, eating disorders, schizophrenia, anxiety, and depression, as well as other support areas. My approach is trauma-informed, culturally conscious, anti-racist, person-centered, strengths-based, sex-positive, HAES/anti-diet culture, all viewed through an intersectional lens that honors the whole you. I typically use a mix of ACT, CBT, DBT, Relational, Somatic, Psychodynamic, SFBT, and Emotionally, Attachment, and Trauma-based modalities. The types of treatment I utilize greatly depend on the person or persons served and their support areas, what feels most aligned with their values, and how structured clients would like their sessions to be. Sometimes an eclectic approach works best, where multiple modalities are combined to meet a client where they are at.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that safe, trauma-informed, affirming therapy is essential to mental health service provision. I am committed, believe in, and engage in social justice practices and critical analysis of the world and systems around us, community healing, reparations, abolitionism, and mutual aid. As a white person, I know that I will always need to examine and challenge my beliefs, engagement in systems around me, and behaviors to ensure that I am actively working to dismantle white supremacy. I stand with BIPOC/Global Majority, Disabled, LGBTQIA2S+ and Poly, Kink/BDSM, Elderly, Immigrant, Refugee, Fat/Larger Body, and Sex Worker communities. I am part of the Black Lives Matter movement and believe in freeing Palestine and all other world regions that are violently occupied and harmed. I am passionate about environmental/climate justice and animal cruelty prevention and safety. Additionally, I strongly believe in pro-choice ideology and giving pregnant people autonomy.
