About My Clients
I work with teens and adults navigating anxiety, depression, relationships, family dynamics, identity, and life transitions. I have a particular interest in supporting students and those exploring who they are, navigating complicated relationships, or feeling stuck between who they are and who they think they should be. You don't need to have everything figured out to begin therapy!
My Background and Approach
My approach draws from psychodynamic therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness. I’m curious about how our past experiences and relationships shape the ways we see ourselves and move through the world. I also believe we can learn to relate differently to our thoughts and emotions, making room for difficult experiences without letting them dictate our lives. Through self-exploration, mindfulness, and connection with our values, I hope to help clients recognize old patterns, develop greater self-understanding, and move toward lives that feel more meaningful and authentic. Therapy isn't about having all the answers; it's about creating space to explore, understand, and grow.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and understood without having to hide parts of themselves to be accepted. I am LGBTQ+ affirming, sex-positive, and passionate about creating a space where people can explore their identities, relationships, and experiences without judgment. As a queer therapist, I understand how meaningful it can be to feel genuinely seen and understood. I am committed to honoring the experiences of people whose voices have been overlooked or silenced, and I believe our differences, histories, and relationships deserve to be met with curiosity rather than assumptions. Above all, I value authenticity, compassion, and the possibility of change. I hope therapy can be a place where you feel safe enough to show up as you are while exploring who you want to become. Outside of therapy and school, I love getting out into nature, going to concerts, watching far too much reality TV, and spending time with my partner.
